GPS in Southern New Brunswick, Canada

You need:
A Garmin eTrex handheld GPS
pfranc.com for a connector
The junk drawer for an old serial mouse
GPS Trackmaker for software
Some NB Waypoints And be on your way!

We can't forget some other GPS sites:
Geocaching.com
The degree Confluence Project
Microsoft Streets and Trips for trip planning, moving map display, and grabbing waypoints.

And why is it that GPS receivers on eBay tend to go for more than what they cost at the local WalMart?

The eTrex won't do it for longer trips. We drove to Toronto and the eTrex memory filled up with a track in a day's driving. It was still useful to have it point you towards your destination, but a true mapping GPS would be better for long distance car travel.

I did have things set up with my Laptop and Streets and Trips to serve as a moving map display. It was too much of a headache to use consistantly, but it did work.
