Greetings!

We are Michael and Bernadine Steeves from Forest Hills Baptist Church in Saint John, New Brunswick. From 2005-2007 our family had the privilege of serving at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) in Kenya, a boarding school for the children of missionaries. Bernadine was a nurse in Student Health Services, and Michael worked in the computer department. In addition to our work at RVA, we were able to minister in the local community. Bernadine's “Home-Made Blankets for Kenya” project allowed us to distribute 1200 home-made blankets. We were able to give out 765 Bibles funded through our “Christmas Bible Project.” Our “Feed My Lambs” project has been able to help out the poorest of the community with some food and encouragement. We have been called to return to Kenya to serve once again at Rift Valley Academy.

Rift Valley Academy was formed in 1906 by Africa Inland Mission with the realization that families serving in Africa needed a place for their children to be educated. RVA is now considered one of the best schools in Africa and is raising future leaders. It is a boarding school with about 450 students. The students come from all over Africa and represent dozens of nationalities and mission organizations.

We need your prayers and support in order to continue our ministry in Kenya. In order to return to our ministry with missionary children and the surrounding Kenyan community, we need to establish a support team in Canada. Our most important need is prayer. Our primary financial need is regular givers who commit to support us monthly or quarterly while we are in Kenya. We also need funds to get us to Kenya and get us set up.

If God is leading you to support us in our mission endeavor, please fill in a pledge card and mail it to Africa Inland Mission. If you plan to start giving when we leave for Kenya, we would still appreciate it if you could send the card as soon as possible so we can track how much we need to raise.
